This notice explains what personal data is processed when you visit this website or email us, why, and what your rights are. This website does not have contact forms or accounts, and we do not set any cookies of our own.
Netsmith Digital Ltd has been dissolved. This website is now run by Tristan Thompson, who is the data controller for the processing described here. You can contact us at [email protected].
Delivering and protecting the website. Like every website, delivering these pages to you means your browser sends Cloudflare your IP address, browser type (user agent), the page requested and the time of the request. This website is served through Cloudflare, which uses this information to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Cloudflare's security tools may record individual requests that look suspicious, including the IP address and browser type, which we can view in our Cloudflare dashboard. Cloudflare does not pass your IP address on to our web server, so our web server's access logs record only Cloudflare's IP address, your browser type, the page requested and the time.
Website analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how many people visit the site, which pages they view and how quickly pages load (including Core Web Vitals). A small script sends page-load timing, the page address (without any query string) and the referring page to Cloudflare; like any request, this also reveals your IP address and browser type. Cloudflare states that this does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint you and does not track you across other websites. Our analytics reports show aggregated statistics, not information about individual visitors.
Cookies.
We do not set any cookies. If Cloudflare's bot protection is enabled it sets a __cf_bm cookie,
which expires after 30 minutes of inactivity. If you are shown and pass a security challenge, it sets a cf_clearance cookie.
These are strictly necessary to protect the site.
See Cloudflare's cookie list.
If you email us. If you email us, we will process your name, email address and anything you include in your message so that we can reply and deal with any request you make, including requests about your data. Your email is received and stored by our email provider on our behalf.
We rely on our legitimate interests in keeping this website available, secure and working well, in understanding how it is used so we can improve it, and in replying to people who contact us. We consider this has minimal impact on you because the analytics are aggregated and no profile of you is built. Where you make a request about your data, we process your email to meet our legal obligations.
You do not have to give us any information, but your browser cannot load this website without sending your IP address. We do not use your data to make automated decisions about you.
Cloudflare, Inc. processes this data on our behalf to deliver, protect and measure the website. Cloudflare may also use some network data for its own security purposes; see Cloudflare's privacy policy. InterServer, Inc., our hosting provider, runs the virtual private server this website is served from; it does not receive your IP address. Our email provider stores emails you send us. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Cloudflare operates a global network, so your data may be processed outside the UK, including in the United States. Cloudflare's Data Processing Addendum covers its transfers. Cloudflare relies on its certification under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, where that does not apply, on standard contractual clauses with the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. See Cloudflare's GDPR information. Our web server, hosted by InterServer, is also located in the United States, but it does not receive your IP address. InterServer is certified under the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. Our email provider may also process emails outside the UK.
You have the right to object to any of the processing described here, because it is based on our legitimate interests. To do so, email us at [email protected]. We may continue to keep security and server logs where we have compelling grounds, such as protecting the site.
The analytics script is added to every page by Cloudflare, so we cannot switch it off for an individual visitor.
The most effective way to object to analytics is to block scripts from static.cloudflareinsights.com
with a content or privacy blocker in your browser.
You have the right to ask for access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, and to ask us to restrict how we use it. Because our analytics reports are aggregated, we may not be able to identify data about you.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you have the right to complain to us at [email protected]. We will acknowledge your complaint within 30 days and tell you the outcome. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
